McWilliams had invited Paik, and when Moorman found out she wrote Jim and asked to be invited too. She premiered Paik’s “Variations on a Theme by Saint-Saëns,” accidentally hitting her head on a ceiling pipe on the way out of the water. 
Program also included: Brecht/Tenney, “Entrance Music/Exit Music,” Cage “26’1.1499” for a String Player,” E. Brown, “Synergy,” Chiari, “Per Arco,” Stockhausen “Plus-Minus,” Ichiyanagi, “Duet 2.” Paik's Variation on a  Theme by Saint Saens (1964) was performed in the 3rd Annual Avant Garde Festival August 25, 1965 (Peter Moore photo p68 John Hanhardt, The World of Nam June Paik)
